Ok, so originally I would make his post every Thursday but I've found that a lot of sales come up at the beginning of the week and only last a couple of days so they miss my post. So just a heads up, I'll probably start to have a sales and deals post once or twice a week on whatever day there are a lot of good ones out there. This way you guys don't miss anything and I have a little more flexibility with the schedule. So, without further ado here's what I've found today:

Review and Blog Tour: No Attachments by Tiffany King

**Giveaway at bottom of post**

My Rating: Date Me Now (4-4.5 stars)

Genre: New Adult Romance

Steam Level: Hot

No Attachments was a short but sweet and spicy story that came out of nowhere and wrapped its pages around my heart.

Ashton is running from something. She has been in Woodfall for four months and has one rule, No Attachments.

“Sometimes life throws you a curveball and either you duck to avoid it, or you swing at it with all your might.”
“Which option did you take?”
“Neither. I chose option three, which was to walk away.”

The beginning of this book is really cute, funny, and sexy, but a bit slow paced and predictable. There were some boiling scenes and the sexual tension was off the charts in places! I liked Ashton she was strong, independent, and knew where she stood. Nathan was super sexy and almost too perfect (not that I’m complaining!). While some of the dates they went on had hilarious endings, there were parts that were *sigh* just so dreamy and perfect. I want to have experiences like that!

And then the 65% mark hits and holy crap does the angst and drama pick up. I was sucked in at this point and unable to put this book down. While I had a small premonition that that twist might come in play I was still SHOCKED and my heart shattered into a million pieces. Ashton and Nathan are forced to reevaluate what their love and life is really worth. Will they fight for what they want or take the easy way out? I even teared up a couple of times which isn’t something that I often do.

Did I agree with all of the decisions and actions that Ashton made? No, but  her reasoning was selfless and I understand why she did what she did.

My only complaint was that it was too short! There were some scenes and parts that I would have liked a little more detail and explanations. This is a short review because I don’t want to say anything that might spoil it for you.

Overall all a well-written, fun but heart wrenching read that any lover of the New Adult genre will enjoy. I highly recommend you give this one a try!

Excerpt
He smiled that Mason smile that set me on fire all over. Then he put one hand on the
other side on the hospital bed and the other lifted toward my face. I waited, bated breath,
gulping, sweaty palms, fluttering eyes, the works. His face got so close before he stopped. I thought he had decided against whatever he was doing he waited so long. I began to pull back in disappointment, but he reached behind my neck gently and pulled me to him. The barest of touches was the best way to describe our first kiss. It wasn't really a kiss at all. His bottom lip barely brushed my top one. When he leaned back and opened his eyes, he must've seen the confusion and frustration in my face.
He chuckled. "I just had to taste that coconut…" he licked his lips, "but I don't want to kiss you when you've been angry at me and I messed up our date." He said 'date'. Like…a date. "I want to kiss you when if we go another second without it, one of us will combust."
My breaths were raging. I tried to calm myself. "I…" I failed.
"I want to give you back your first kiss, the one that jerk stole from you. And I want it to
be something that even a coma can't make you forget."

Review: This Girl by Colleen Hoover

My Rating: Date (4-4.5 stars)

Genre: Mature Young Adult Romance

Steam Level: mild – warm

“Then this girl completely shatters the window to my soul and crawls inside.”

This Girl is just as beautiful, emotional, and sweet as Slammed and POR. I don’t read much in the YA genre and when I do I have a hard time enjoying/relating to it, but the Slammed series has definitely be an exception. Colleen Hoover’s writing style is elegant, quirky, and simply beautiful. She has become an author that I will read no matter what genre or theme her book is.

This Girl puts a unique spin on the male POV book. Will and Lake are on their honeymoon and are reliving their past epic moments, both good and bad, as Will shares his side of things with Lake. The entire time I read this, I had a happy smile on my face. That is what Will Cooper does to me. He proves that a sweet, good guy can be just as sexy and desirable as the bad boys we all crave.

“It’s almost as if the moment we said “I do” yesterday, the hardships and heartaches we faced as individuals were meshed, making our pasts lighter and easier to carry. “

We get to see some scenes we missed out on in Slammed from Will’s pov and we to delve a little deeper into his past, but there are no huge or unexpected revelations. We do get a couple new slams, as well as some old favorites, and there are some scenes between Caulder, Kel, and Will that are really funny! I’d forgotten how much sexual tension there was in Slammed, or maybe it was just more pronounced in This Girl since we are seeing the story from the head of a guy, lol.

“I’d kiss her mouth, I’d kiss her cheek, I’d kiss that line from her ear down to her shoulder that I can’t stop staring at. She’d let me, too. I know how hard this has been on her, I can see it in the way she carries herself now.”

The Epilogue. Holy butterflying epilogue! If you are hesitant to read this because you don’t want to read a re-telling of Slammed, you still need to read it for the epilogue. It was a PERFECT ending to this series and brought tears to my eyes. It is both a suck and a sweet to see everyone have their happy ending and to say good-bye to these characters.

Note: If you have not read Slammed and Point of Retreat, you absolutely HAVE to read those two before This Girl. You can find the series reading order and purchase links below, I HIGHLY recommend them for a quick, sweet, and angsty read.

Giveaway & Excerpt: Every Little Piece by Kate Ashton

**Giveaway at bottom of post**

Every Little Piece by Kate Ashton
Publication date: May, 2013
Genre: Mature YA Contemporary

Synopsis:
Secrets never stay in the past.

The night before high school graduation changes everything. Lies are told. Mistakes are made. Secrets tucked away. Lives are changed in the span of a few hours.

A year later, Haley is still reeling, numb with the constant ache of guilt. She's in a place she never expected to be: lost without her friends and Seth. Until he enters her life again, dredging up everything she's trying to forget. Everything about that night.

Seth returns to his hometown determined to share his truth, his side of the story. He desperately needs to make things right with Haley, even if it means losing her forever. Because the truth will ruin any chance of her ever loving him again.

Except neither of them are prepared for the shock of what really happened the night before graduation.

Excerpt

He grabbed my fingers and held them loosely in his. “You ready for tonight?”
“Sure.” I noticed that even though he was looking at me, he didn’t really see me. Not
the way he was usually tuned in. “Are you?”
“What?” Then he coughed. “Um, yeah, ready.”
After years together, instinct told me something was wrong. I rubbed the light scruff
on his cheeks and kissed him. I giggled. “You need to shave.”
My touch seemed to pull him out of whatever funk he was in and he grabbed hold of
me. “Really? I need to shave? Are you sure?” He rubbed his cheek against mine.
I held back a giggling fit and squirmed away but he clamped down on my waist and
tucked me into his arms.
“Haley!” the girls yelled.
“Seth!” the guys yelled.
Just to spite them, I reached up and pulled Seth toward me. We engaged in a long,
slow kiss. The heat spread throughout my body and sizzled in my stomach. I clung to
him, to this moment. My hands slid up and my towel dropped. This time, I lightly traced
his cheek. “I like your scruff.”
He pulled away and for one intense moment his blue eyes pierced mine. No word
was spoken, but he felt it too. He had to. I didn’t break our gaze, and he reached out and
pulled his thumb across my lips. Then he leaned forward and kissed my cheek.
Moments like those made me fantasize about spending the night with Seth. Him and
me. Naked. What it would feel like to be next to him, skin on skin, touching, kissing.
But then that made me think about our future and commitment. Ugh. I wondered if Seth
had talked about the fall and his plans with Carter. Did he fear the changes coming after
tomorrow? Hopefully, I’d find a chance to talk to him tonight. Poke around in his head to
see if he saw me in his future. I wasn’t necessarily thinking forever, but at least into next
year.

Giveaway & Review: Rock With Me by Kristen Proby

**Happy Release Day**

My Rating: Date (4 stars)

Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance

Steam Level: Super Hot!

Rock With Me was my first Kristen Proby book but it won’t be my last! Rock With Me is a stand alone but I think reading the previous books in the series would have given a little more background and insight into some of the supporting characters and helped me enjoy the family scenes a little more, but again it is not necessary. I really enjoyed this story all on its own!

Samantha has been living in the shadow of her famous brother her entire life. She has had horrible experiences with tabloids and famous people. Privacy and independence are the things she values most and she has absolutely no intention of putting herself anywhere near the limelight again. But then she meets Leo, a rockstar….

Leo is a tattooed and pierced sex on a stick. He is also the lead singer of the famous rock band, Nash, and is taking a break from preforming to spend time with his sister, Meg, in Seattle. Since he’s on a break we don’t really see his rock star status come through until the end of the book, through most of it he seems to live a fairly normal life. He has had a rough upbringing that he is still trying to come to terms with.

Meet Leo and Sam (pic taken from the author’s website):

The relationship between Sam and Leo starts out rocky, intense, and scorching hot and never lets up! There is A LOT of sex and it was HOT sex, but I felt like there wasn’t a whole lot of variety and I was reading the same scene over and over again, just in a different place or time. I loved the banter between the two; it had my cracking up at times.

“I’ll take you hard, and soft, and every way in between.” He grips my face in his hands and looks down at me, his nose touching mine. “I’m going to fuck the shit out of you.”

I do wish there had been a little more drama and angst. Yes it’s there, but it was resolved a little bit too easily for me. And there was the small issue of Leo having nightmares (because of his past) and then it was never brought up again or resolved. Their relationship develops fast and is intensely beautiful.

“I call you sunshine,” he whispers and brushes his knuckles down my face, “because when you smile, you light me up inside.”

There is a HEA with a sweet epilogue, plus Kristen Proby has assured us that we will get to see these characters again as she finishes out her With Me In Seattle Series (see reading order below). I can’t wait to catch up on the 3 books I missed before this one.
