Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday: Books For People Who Like Bloodlines

Top Ten Tuesdays is a meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish that features a new topic each week where we have to put down our top ten of it.

TASK: Top Ten Words/Topics That Instantly Make Me Buy/Pick Up A Book
(Im changing it a bit but I'm going to do 6 topic that draw into a book and 4 topics that turn me off a book)
1. Forbidden Love
This one is probably one that a lot of people are picking but no one can ever resit a good forbidden love romance their addictive.

2.Taboo Subject
I love these books they are soo good like your just thinking woow when you read it . I can never put a book down when i see its a taboo subject. I know its sick but i love reading books when family member fall in love  i love reading the raw feelings they are having these books always give me a good cry

3. Dark Books
Gosh I know what you guys are thinking ..... your thinking that this girl is a freak and you want to unsubscribe from my blog. But guys please dont because if you actually read one of these books you will be as hooked as me. (and if you still want to unsubscribe stay for Erin she is not weird like me ) And when I say dark I dont mean Fifty shade dark i mean dark dark . Like killing kate dark. The book that got me hooked was captive in the dark I love books with kidnappers.

4. Greeks Myths and Nymphs
Everyone knows that i don't like paranormal books but these topic are very interesting. I love Greek myths from when I first learnt about Greeks in primary school(for our american subscribers primary school is elementary school) i was hooked. When i say nymphs i mean only nymphs i don't like angels I tried it and it did not really go well with me : fallen and hush, hush were really boring for me.

5. SEXXXXXXXXXYYYYYYYY Books
Yes my guilt pleasure I love a bit of smut in my books not like full one all about sex books like beautiful bastard. But just books that don't leave much to the imagination if you know what i mean. I remember the days before new adult I use to get so mad at YA especially Sarah dessin books aaaah she always ended the chapter when it was  just getting good leaving i all to imagination I DON'T HAVE A GOOD IMAGINATION!!!

6. NEW ADULT
Omg i almost forget my genre love NA not meaning to be captain obvious but I LOVE na , which will explain why my blog is dedicated to it. loll

7. Kids
Okay im not a mean person okay so just allow me to clarify. Imagine a sexy movie scene a couple is going at it in the back of a cinema yes are we imagining ..... input a child into the equation i assure you the movie has changed into barbie or smurfs. Kids an sex don't mix .... i don't like kids getting in the way of my romance. But i have read some books that are of exceptions.

8. Vampire, Demons, Angels, Half Vampire, Fairies , wolves(all of that paranormal stuff)
I have tried, tried , and tried to get into these books but i will never ever under stand them they are so foreign to  me. And its weird because I love love paranormal tv shows all that supernatural, vampire diaries etc are on series links on my tv but i don't like reading it. But there some books that i just love regardless like the vampire academy and bloodlines

9. Virgins and Bad boys
A few weeks ago if you would have pointed me in the direction of one of these books i would have kissed your feet i adored these book. But now aaaahah there just every where i cant stand them any more because i always know what is going to happen aaaah. But after like a week or so you will see that i will be hooked on them again but can you blame me who can resits delicious boys like Travis !!!

10. Covers
I know we are not suppose to judge a book by its cover but i cant help it if im waking threw a book store if i don't like your book cover i will not pick up your book plain as.

Waiting On Wednesday #5

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the SpineEach week, bloggers spotlight what upcoming release they’re eager for. Here’s mine:

So today WOW is going to be a little different... I am going to put in a excerpt because that was what drew me into the book. The synopsis is a bit boring. And at the bottom of this post there will be a GIVEAWAY

inhale, exhalePublishing date:  May 7th 2013
Publisher: Self Published
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance (Academic/ College)
Synopsis:

Jillian had a plan: celebrate the end of her first year of college with an amazing summer full of beaches, barbecues  and bonfires. When her mom insists she needs a summer job, and her boyfriend spends more time with his band than with her, Jillian’s plans go down the drain.

Grant had a plan: finish his Masters, get a great job at Google, and get the hell out of Georgia. He might be giving up some of the fun of his youth, but he knows his all work and no play method would be worth it when his dreams came true.

But things never go according to plan.

When temptation brings them together and tragedy tears them apart, Jillian and Grant will be forced to choose: fight for their dreams, or fight for each other.

Here’s the excerpt:

The laughter, clinking of glasses, and music from the juke box faded away. I could only hear the whooshing of my own heartbeat. I swallowed hard. Grant’s eyes lowered to watch the movement of my neck, and I imagined what it would be like for him to kiss me there like in my dream. To trace the line from my jaw with his finger or tongue down to my clavicle, dipping into that tiny hollow.

I forgot to breathe.
My leg grazed his, with just the tiniest amount of friction. I didn’t take my eyes off him, and I could see his own widen almost imperceptibly. His hand slipped under the table next to mine, hovering. He never touched me. I could feel the heat from his hand like a furnace. He was waiting for permission, a sign that I wanted and accepted his touch. My hands stayed glued to the seat beside me, but I lifted up onto the balls of my feet, causing my knee to bump into his awaiting hand.
It took but seconds for his large, strong hand to clasp the top of my leg, the pad of his thumb brushing along the soft skin inside my thigh. I looked around the table, but everyone was deep in their own conversations, and no one was paying us any attention.
Neither his hand nor my leg moved for a long time. Just the tiny swipes of his thumb, causing my breath to hitch. We didn’t look at each other as to not draw attention. He chatted casually with people at the table, while I was drawn tighter than a bow.
Finally, after an excruciatingly long time, he began to move his fingers. He ran his thumb in tiny circles on the inside of my thigh as his fingers brushed behind my knee, making a painstakingly slow ascent upward. One millimeter at a time.
Time stood still and the room around me blurred. He was still an inch or two below the hem of my shorts, but I felt like he was touching me at my core. Goosebumps rose along my skin, and I shivered.
Grant must have taken that as a good sign, because he began to very slowly—agonizingly slowly—inch his fingers further up my thigh. My muscles tightened in anticipation, knowing this was wrong but wanting nothing but his touch.  He made his way to the hem of my tiny shorts, sliding his fingers back and forth against it. Inside my thigh. Outside my thigh. Inside. Outside. In. Out.
My vision blurred, and my eyes slid shut with pleasure. I bit my bottom lip to contain the groan that threatened to escape my lips.

Feature Follow Friday #3

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow

Feature and Follow is a weekly meme hosted every Friday by Parajunkee's View & Alison Can Read

How it works
  1. First thing first you leave your name on the bottom of one of the host sites , (Parajunkee's View & Alison Can Read using the linky tools — i didnt post it this week)
  2. then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and
  3. then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!
Question:
Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate -- ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?
Answer
Ever one knows how much I hate books were the characters are not human (that include vampires, angels, gods although i did love sweet evil . etc ) after reading Fallen I vouched that I will never read another paranormal books again I swear it had to be one of the worst books I have read... anyways that beside the point. So because Of my hatred anything not human i was very to hesitant to read this books

Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1)Starcrossed: When i first picked up starcrossed it was the cover that drew me in. I read the blurb but i was not to crazy about but I thought hey its only $1.50 and my boyfriend has just given me my monthly amazon £50 gift voucher  why he bought this one in dollars is beyond me) Now if you read this book you will know that this books beginning is not the most interesting and is quite slow sow when i started reading it. I was like this book is boring and I got my money refunded but then my school librarian kept saying its a really good read and i should at least wait til the 75 page. And boy did i love it when i started reading it again I am as of now waiting for the next book in the series : The goddess.

Here is a book i thought i would love but hated

Stolen Nights (Vampire Queen, #2)Stolen nights: OMG when this book came out I was over joyed I had loved the first book (about a vampire that becomes human)So when i realised that it would come to England 4 months before America I was dancing for Joy. But that was not the story when I read the book ... It was like the worst story I had ever read.I hated no scratch that hate is to nice of a word. There needs to be a new word to describe how much I despised this book. IT IN NO WAY HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE FIRST ONE. Omg its was so bad in the first book it had the like the first chapter of this book. Let me just say that it was not even in the second book. I think the author most have been hit on the back of the head and caught amnesia before the release date or something. Or maybe she most have had a mid life crisis before the release date of the book and just decided to right a whole book from scratch that was complete utter rubbish and nonsense  because even the blurb of the book was is not way the same as the book. How can someone be in love with someone for the WHOLE if one book. And then as soon as an old friend come back completely forgets about the guy she was saying she would die for in this first book!!!

~Debbie

Hey guys, Erin here! I thought I'd chime in on today's feature Friday. Normally I wouldn't pick up a book that I thought I wasn't going to like, but I won this e-book in a giveaway and thought what the hell, I'll give it a try. The books was:

Flesh (Flesh, #1) Flesh by Kylie Scott. I think it was the genre that made me hesitant: Post Apocalyptic Erotica. I didn't even know that there were books out there like this, but I ended up loving it! I gave it 5 scorching, zombie blasting stars! It was HOT, funny, and suspenseful. Flesh isn't only a zombie horror/adventure story. While that is the setting of Flesh and there is plenty of blood and carnage, the heart of this book is about three people trying to find love, trust, and safety in a post-apocalyptic world that is literally in shambles around them. The relationship that develops between the three is unique, but so is their situation. If you're looking for something out of the box and are an open minded reader, I highly recommend you give this one a try!

Question: What is the most emotional book scene you've ever read in a book and how did you react to it?

Answer:
I've have been racking brain thinking of a book this I got emotional about and then I found it hopeless. I don't want to spoil it but when she finds out about her past. Aaah I remember that day my boyfriend took me out to one of his family dinners he had been trying to get me to for ages. I was bored half way threw the meal so I took out my phone (have the kindle app on it). I read that science and I started bursting in to tear like literally in the middle of dinner I swear like the hole table thought I was crazy. My boyfriends mother trout it was because she said that the food wasn't nice in the restaurant.... Loool way to make a first impression she still thinks I'm crazy.

Another time was when I read the ending of consequences . I was so mad and shocked I threw my kindle across the library .... Well it broke .... And I got banned from the library for two weeks. The school as thought I was crazy and recommend me to see the school therapist!!
